hand hygiene day: “nurses and midwives, clean care is in your hands!”
by Q-Life Family Clinic Staff

The 5th Day of May every year has been set aside by the World Health Organization (WHO) to highlight the importance of hand hygiene especially in health care facilities. Hand hygiene among other safe healthcare practices, ultimately protects healthcare workers and their patients from several infections.

This year’s theme which says: “SAVE LIVES: Clean your hands” supports the year being celebrated as the year of the nurses and the midwives. And the heroic frontline role nurses and midwives play in preventing the spread of infections is always recognized.

As the world grapples with containing the COVID-19 Pandemic, an infection which has altered almost every facet of human existence, we are reminded that hand hygiene is essential in preventing potential infection causing microorganisms.

At Q-life Family clinic, we are committed to implementing policies that promote a safe working environment for nurses while empowering them to provide clean care to our esteemed clients. We also make hand hygiene a priority as we inspire behavioral change.

To all our quintessential nurses and to every nurse and midwife all over the world be reminded that every sacrifice and quality clinical practice targeted at providing clean care is appreciated.

You are seen, loved and celebrated!
